ARM-1 at PPBW conference

ARM-1 project conducted by PSNC in cooperation with PPBW and FVS, was presented during a PPBW organized conference which took place on June 17, 2015 in the Primate’s Palace in Warsaw. It was an opportunity to introduce the main areas of project activities and the current state of work.

The main objective of the Conference was to present the Strategy of the Polish Platform for Homeland Security for the years 2015-2020. The first part of the conference was devoted to the presentation of the selected projects in the area of security and defense, financed by the National Centre for Research and Development, including ARM-1.

The conference offered an opportunity to present the main objectives of the project, research and development activity areas and the current state of work. The project is just entering the final phase of the system implementation, tests and verification of the speech recognition engine, which is the heart of the system, as well as its applications.

We work on acoustic and linguistic models dedicated for different types of recordings and on the optimization of the engine modules. Airnote application is currently being implemented and its tests by the end users are to begin in the fall of this year. Tests of TIN are already underway. They are conducted by police officers from the City Police headquarters in Poznan, Custom Office in Warsaw and Treasury Department in Zielona Gora. Last by but least, our activities include consideration of the technical and legal aspects of the project results deployment in various internal security agencies.
